Flame-retardant antistatic long-sleeve shirt

Velilla 605003 flame-retardant antistatic shirt: the lightweight option in flame-retardant workwear

Long-sleeved shirt in treated cotton twill of 250 g/m² with antistatic fibre, certified to EN ISO 11612 (A1 B1 C1 F1), EN ISO 11611 class 1 A1 and EN 1149-5. It is the lightest upper-body garment in the range: 20 g/m² less than the jacket, without giving up certification.

✅ Features

  • Protection against heat and flame: EN ISO 11612 with performance levels A1 (limited flame spread), B1 (convective heat), C1 (radiant heat) and F1 (molten metal splash by contact).
  • Suitable for welding: EN ISO 11611 class 1 A1, the level intended for welding techniques that generate little spatter.
  • Antistatic: EN 1149-5, with 3% antistatic fibre integrated into the fabric.
  • Central closure with concealed snap fasteners: the snaps are covered, with no metal exposed to spatter.
  • Hook-and-loop cuffs: they fit snugly over the glove and leave no gap at the wrist.
  • Two patch chest pockets with flap and hook-and-loop closure and a reinforced back yoke.

👷 What jobs it is for

🧺 Care

  • Always follow the label: for a category III PPE, the washing cycle is part of the certification. Washing outside the instructions may invalidate the protection.
  • No fabric softener: it leaves a film on the fibre that degrades both the antistatic and the flame-retardant performance.
  • No bleach or chlorine-based stain removers: they attack the cotton's treatment.
  • Check before every use: a tear, a burn or an open seam takes the garment out of service.

💡 Tip: never wear it with the sleeves rolled up. The protection of a flame-retardant shirt is the surface it covers: with the sleeve pushed up, the forearm is left bare, right in the area that receives spatter when welding. If it's hot, the answer is this 250 g/m² shirt instead of the 270 g/m² jacket, not rolling up the sleeves of the one you're wearing. And keep in mind that it is not certified against electric arc (IEC 61482).
