Healthcare scrub tunic with press studs

Velilla 535201 scrub top with snap buttons: opens with a single pull

White scrub top in 190 g/m² polyester-cotton twill, with a central snap-button closure and V-neck. The snap buttons make the difference: in the event of a hot splash or a spill, the whole garment opens by simply pulling on it, with no need to undo it button by button. It is a single piece: trousers not included.

✅ Features

  • Snap buttons: they open all at once. In a catering kitchen, a food production workshop or a treatment room, being able to take the garment off in a second when something spills is a real safety advantage.
  • V-neck: comfortable V neckline that leaves the stethoscope area free and does not tighten around the neck.
  • Three patch pockets, one on the chest: room for a pen, an ID card and a notebook.
  • 65/35 twill, 190 g/m²: a fabric with body that does not turn see-through despite being white.
  • No finishes that wear off: no elastane, no antibacterial treatment, no repellent. It is a garment that withstands industrial laundering without losing performance, because it has none to lose.

  • Food industry, food production workshops and catering kitchens.
  • Compounding pharmacies, parapharmacies and opticians.

🧺 Care

  • Wash at 60 °C. With no elastane or finishes, it tolerates the industrial cycle well.
  • Fasten the snap buttons before washing so they do not catch on other garments in the drum.
  • Tumble dry and iron at medium temperature; do not iron over the metal snap buttons.
  • Chlorine-free optical bleach; regular bleach turns white polyester yellow.
  • Suitable for industrial laundries.

💡 Tip: If you work with hot liquids (food production workshop, kitchen, sterilization), choose snap buttons over sewn-on buttons. A scald gets worse with every second that wet clothing stays in contact with the skin, and undoing five buttons with scalded hands is not a realistic option. It is the same reason professional chef jackets have a quick-release closure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the trousers included?

No. 535201 is the tunic only.

What is the advantage of press studs over sewn-on buttons?

The whole garment opens in one pull. If you work with hot liquids, a scald burn gets worse every second wet clothing stays on the skin, and undoing five buttons with scalded hands is not realistic.

Do the press studs come undone by themselves?

Not in normal use. They are designed to give way to a deliberate pull, not to everyday movement.

Should it be washed fastened?

Yes, it is advisable. Open press studs snag other garments in the drum.

Can it withstand industrial washing at 90 degrees?

The manufacturer specifies 60 °C. With no elastane or finishes, it handles a tough cycle well, but the white suffers above 60 °C.

Can it be sterilised in an autoclave?

No. The polyester-cotton blend is not approved for autoclaving.

Can I use bleach?

No. Chlorine yellows white polyester irreversibly.
