Duero Smooth Wall Coping 1 m - Underside Grooves for a Stronger Bond

Duero Smooth Wall Coping 1 m: large format with reinforced anchoring

A wall coping that comes loose leaves the wall exposed to leaks and costly repairs. This slab features a drip edge and grooves on the underside that multiply the mortar's bonding surface, and it's made from HAP concrete with no internal reinforcement, so there's no steel to rust and crack the piece either.

✅ Key advantages

  • Reinforced fixing: the underside grooves ensure a solid, long-lasting bond to the wall.
  • Built-in drip edge: keeps water away from the façade and prevents streaking and damp.
  • No internal reinforcement: longer service life and zero risk of rust stains.
  • Smooth finish with rounded edges: a contemporary look for any building.
  • 5 widths, from 20 to 50 cm: from a narrow low wall to a load-bearing wall.

🏗️ Recommended applications

  • Capping for enclosure walls and exposed load-bearing walls.
  • Terrace and rooftop parapets.
  • Pool copings and outdoor seating areas.
  • Retaining walls and built-in planters.

🧰 Installation

  1. Even out and level the top of the wall before starting.
  2. Dry-lay the full course first and mark out the cuts.
  3. Spread flexible bonding mortar, also filling the base of the grooves.
  4. Position the piece with two people and adjust the overhang on both sides with a rubber mallet.
  5. Leave a 3-5 mm joint and point it with elastic mortar.
  6. Clean while fresh with a damp sponge and protect from rain for 24 hours.

📦 Available formats

  • Single unit.
  • Full pallet.

💡 Professional tip: the grooves only work if they're filled with mortar. Many people spread a thin, even layer and leave the grooves hollow, which loses exactly the extra grip you paid for. Load the mortar generously, press the piece down until it overflows at the joint, and remove the excess.
