Forum Paving Stone: three sizes on the same pallet for a random layout

The Forum Paving Stone by Adybor is not a single piece: it is a composition of three sizes — 18x12, 12x12 and 9x12 cm — mixed together on the same pallet, in indivisible packs. It is designed this way on purpose, to be laid in a random layout and achieve a cobbled-looking pavement, without the mechanical repetition of a single-size paver.

⚠️ Important before ordering: the three sizes are not sold separately. When you buy one square meter or one pallet of Forum, you will receive the three sizes mixed in the factory proportion, not just the 18x12. If you need a single uniform size, the right product is the Senda Paving Stone or the Igea Paving Stone.

✅ Advantages

  • Standard random layout: the three sizes arrive already mixed, without having to combine pallets or orders.
  • Cobbled appearance: the mix of sizes breaks up the grid and gives a much more natural finish.
  • Two thicknesses: Forum 6 for pedestrian use and light traffic; Forum 8 for vehicular traffic.
  • Common width of 12 cm: the three pieces share the same width, so the rows close without odd adjustments.
  • Certified strength: UNE-EN 1338, Xi>2.9 / X8>3.6 MPa strength and satisfactory breaking load X8>250 N/mm.
  • Wear and absorption: class 4 I (Xi<20 mm) and absorption class 2B (X8<6%).

🏗️ Applications

  • Squares, historic centers and pedestrian streets.
  • Promenades, paths and landscaped accessways.
  • Patios, porches and outdoor seating areas.
  • Roadways and parking areas, always with the 8 cm thickness.
  • Walkable roofs.

📋 Technical data sheet

  • Forum 6 — 18x12x6 + 12x12x6 + 9x12x6 cm: about 64 pieces/m², 135 kg/m², pallet of 10.05 m² (about 644 pieces) and 1,357 kg net.
  • Forum 8 — 18x12x8 + 12x12x8 + 9x12x8 cm: about 64 pieces/m², 178 kg/m², pallet of 8.03 m² (about 515 pieces) and 1,429 kg net.
  • Supply: composition in indivisible packs, with the three sizes mixed on the pallet.

  • Intended use: pedestrian use, areas subject to vehicle traffic, and roofs.

🧰 Installation

  1. Excavate the base and compact the natural ground, leaving the drainage slope in place.
  2. Spread and compact a 15-20 cm base of crushed stone for pedestrian use, or 25-30 cm if there will be vehicular traffic.
  3. Lay a 3-5 cm bedding sand layer, leveled with a screed and not compacted.
  4. Open several packs at once and have the three sizes ready: the random layout only works well if you alternate sizes as you go, not by laying in batches.
  5. Contain the entire perimeter with curb or concrete edging so the pavement does not spread.
  6. Brush silica sand into the joints, run the vibrating plate with a rubber mat, and repeat the sweeping after a few days.

📦 Formats and colors

  • Forum 6: 18x12x6 + 12x12x6 + 9x12x6 cm on the same pallet — gray and colored.
  • Forum 8: 18x12x8 + 12x12x8 + 9x12x8 cm on the same pallet — gray and colored.
  • The sizes are not supplied separately: the pallet is indivisible and comes with the three mixed together.
  • Available factory colors: gray, cream, red, and black. Cream, red, and black are priced under the Color category, which is how the manufacturer invoices them.

💡 Professional tip: with the Forum, the most common mistake is to place all the large pieces first and leave the small ones for last: you end up with a floor split into two zones and there is no way to fix it anymore. Open three or four packs at once, also mix pieces from different pallets, and alternate sizes row by row; at the same time, distribute the tones from each batch and you won’t end up with patches. Order 5-7% extra for cuts and finishing pieces. And with thickness there is no room for compromise: the 6 cm one is for pedestrians and light vehicles; as soon as loaded vans or trucks enter, 8 cm over well-compacted road base.
