25-liter belt compressor

A compact belt-driven compressor, which is an unusual combination. What makes it interesting is the speed: it runs at 1,375 r.p.m., less than half that of an equivalent direct-drive compressor, and still delivers 365 L/min at 10 bar.

That is the whole advantage of the belt: the motor drives the pump head through a pulley, so the head can spin slowly and be large instead of fast and small. Practical consequence: it heats up much less, makes less noise, and can handle full workdays where a direct compressor would have to stop to rest.

💡 Professional tip: a belt compressor does use oil and it needs checking. Check the level through the sight glass with the unit cold and level, and change it after the first 100 hours and then every 500 hours. It is the maintenance that separates a pump head that lasts fifteen years from one that seizes up in two.
