Laguardia Hexagonal Slab - large-format hexagon with beveled edges

Laguardia Hexagonal Slab: the hexagon on a large scale

Hexagonal paving is pleasing to look at, but with unprotected edges it chips and breaks easily during transport and installation, leaving you on site with half the delivery unusable. This slab has beveled edges that protect the corners of each piece and comes in a large format, 42.9 × 24.8 cm, to cover surface quickly.

✅ Key advantages

  • Beveled edges: reduce the risk of breakage during transport and installation and define the layout.
  • Large hexagonal format: just 6.25 pieces per square meter, fast progress on site.
  • Bicolor design: an elegant finish that matches the smaller hexagonal tile in the collection.
  • USRV 80 class, Class 3: slip resistance suited to wet areas.

🏗️ Recommended applications

  • Terraces and back patios.
  • Garden paths and access areas.
  • Pool areas and sun decks.
  • Common areas and outdoor seating spaces.

🧰 Installation

  1. Compact the ground and spread a 10-15 cm sub-base of crushed gravel.
  2. Level a 3-4 cm sand bed with a slope towards the drain.
  3. Mark out the center lines of the area and start from the middle to distribute the cuts.
  4. Lay the pieces letting the bevels form the joint.
  5. Bed with a rubber mallet, striking the center, never the bevel.
  6. Grout with silica sand and sweep the surface thoroughly.

📦 Available formats

  • 42.9 × 24.8 × 3.5 cm in anthracite.
  • 42.9 × 24.8 × 3.5 cm in sand.
  • 42.9 × 24.8 × 3.5 cm in bronze.
  • Sold by unit or by pallet of 52 pieces (8.32 m²).

💡 Professional tip: a pallet covers exactly 8.32 m², and with a large hexagonal piece cutting waste is high: allow 12-15% if the area isn't rectangular. And don't unload the pallets roughly even though they have bevels: the bevel protects against rubbing, not against a forklift driving its forks straight in.
