Flame-retardant antistatic long-sleeve shirt

Velilla 605003 flame-retardant antistatic shirt: the lightweight option in the flame-retardant range

Long-sleeve shirt in 250 g/m² treated cotton twill with antistatic fibre, certified to EN ISO 11612 (A1 B1 C1 F1), EN ISO 11611 class 1 A1 and EN 1149-5. It is the lightest upper-body garment in the range: 20 g/m² less than the jacket, without giving up certification.

✅ Features

  • Protection against heat and flame: EN ISO 11612 with performance levels A1 (limited flame spread), B1 (convective heat), C1 (radiant heat) and F1 (contact with molten metal splash).
  • Suitable for welding: EN ISO 11611 class 1 A1, the level intended for welding techniques that generate few spatters.
  • Antistatic: EN 1149-5, with 3% antistatic fibre built into the fabric.
  • Central concealed press-stud fastening: the studs are covered, with no metal exposed to spatter.
  • Hook-and-loop cuffs: fasten snugly over the glove and leave no gap at the wrist.
  • Two chest patch pockets with hook-and-loop flaps and a reinforcing back yoke.

🧺 Care

  • Always follow the label: on category III PPE, the wash cycle is part of the certification. Washing outside the instructions may invalidate the protection.
  • No fabric softener: it leaves a film on the fibre that degrades antistatic and flame-retardant performance.
  • No bleach or chlorinated stain removers: they attack the cotton treatment.
  • Inspect before each use: a tear, a burn or an open seam puts the garment out of service.

💡 Tip: never wear it with the sleeves rolled up. The protection of a flame-retardant shirt is the surface it covers: with the sleeve rolled up, the forearm is bare exactly where spatter lands when welding. If it is hot, the answer is this 250 g/m² shirt instead of the 270 jacket, not rolling up the one you are wearing. And bear in mind that it is not certified against electric arc (IEC 61482).
