Velilla 535206S stretch healthcare scrub top: unisex, stretchy and with four pockets
The stretch top of the Velilla healthcare scrubs, in 190 g/m² stretch twill with 4% elastane. V-neck, side vents and four pockets, one of them inside, which is where your personal phone ends up when you don't want it on show. Sold separately: the price is for the top only. The matching trousers, in the same fabric and the same thirteen colours, are reference 533006S.

4% elastane: you can raise your arms above your head without the top pulling at the armholes or riding up at the front. You notice it when moving patients and working at high examination couches.
Inside pocket: a hidden pocket for your personal phone or card, separate from the work pockets.
Four pockets in total: one chest pocket, two lower pockets and the inside pocket.
Side vents: give room when bending down and stop the garment bunching over the hips.

Wash at 60 °C. Do not regularly exceed this temperature so as not to degrade the elastane.
Tumble dry at medium or low temperature.
Do not use chlorine bleach.
Iron at medium temperature.
Suitable for industrial laundry at 60 °C with moderate drying.
💡 Tip: Empty the inside pocket before sending the garment to the laundry. It sounds obvious, but it's the pocket nobody checks because it can't be seen, and in a batch of uniforms sent to an external laundry, ID cards and keys turn up every week. If the top is shared between shifts, the inside pocket is also the place where nothing personal should be left.

Are the trousers included?
No. The 535206S is the top only. The matching stretch trousers are reference 533006S.
What's the difference from the 535206SW?
The 535206SW is the fitted women's version, with a somewhat shorter colour chart. The 535206S has a unisex cut and equips men and women alike.
What is the inside pocket for?
For your personal phone, ID card or money, kept separate from the work pockets. Always check it before sending the garment to be washed: it's the pocket nobody looks at because it can't be seen.
Does it withstand industrial washing at 90 degrees?
The manufacturer specifies 60 °C. At 90 °C the elastane degrades quickly and the garment loses its recovery. If your laundry works at 90 °C, choose a top without elastane such as the 588 or the cotton 535205.
Can it be sterilised in an autoclave?
No. Elastane cannot withstand the 121-134 °C steam of an autoclave.
Is it short-sleeved?
Yes. Like all healthcare scrub tops, it has short sleeves because hand hygiene protocol requires forearms to be bare below the elbow.
Which size should I choose?
The top is ordered by chest measurement. With 4% elastane there's no need to size up for extra room.
