Organic cotton bib apron 240 g/m²

Velilla 404214 organic bib apron: cross-back, no neck strap

The difference you notice at the end of the shift is not in the fabric but in the back. This apron has no neck strap: it crosses over at the back, so the weight rests on the shoulders and not on the neck, which is where it hurts after eight hours. On top of that comes 240 g/m² organic cotton with a liquid-repellent treatment.

✅ Features

  • Cross-back: spreads the weight across the shoulders and removes pressure on the neck.
  • Multi-position ergonomic adjustment straps: in the same shade as the fabric, adjustable to several heights.
  • Liquid-repellent treatment: splashes run off instead of soaking in.
  • Two pockets: a large central one with an inner pocket.
  • Inner hanging loop: to hang it up without creasing it.
  • 100% organic cotton at 240 g/m², in four natural shades.

👷 Suitable for

  • Signature cuisine and restaurants with a sustainability focus.
  • Open kitchens, show cooking and gastrobars.
  • Bakehouses, sourdough bakeries and artisan patisserie.
  • Speciality coffee shops and brunch venues.
  • Delicatessens, wine shops and coffee roasters.

🧺 Care

  • Machine wash at a moderate temperature.
  • Do not use fabric softener: it cancels out the repellent treatment.
  • Iron at medium temperature.
  • Shrinks slightly in the first washes, like all 100% cotton.

💡 Tip: the cross-back has a drawback worth knowing before you buy: you have to put it on over your head and slip your arms out, and with dirty hands that is more awkward than undoing a knot. If the apron goes on and off several times per shift, the neck-strap version (404204 or 404207) is more practical; if it goes on at the start and comes off at the end, the cross-back wins on comfort.
