Terry-lined PVC bib apron

Velilla 9 terry bib apron: the heaviest in the catalogue, for the food industry

This is the apron to choose when plain PVC feels uncomfortable and fabric gets soaked. It combines a cotton terry base coated with PVC, with a weight of 500 g/m²: on the outside it repels water like a normal coated apron, on the inside the terry absorbs sweat and does not stick to clothing throughout the working day.

✅ Features

  • 500 g/m²: the highest weight in the Velilla apron range. It hangs straight and withstands heavy use.
  • Coated outer face: the PVC blocks water, brine and juices.
  • Cotton terry interior: absorbs body moisture, something plain PVC does not do.
  • High bib: covers the chest and abdomen.
  • Bias tape ties for adjustment: they knot and adapt to any waist size.
  • One size, unisex.

👷 Suitable for

  • Food industry: packaging, cutting and production lines.
  • Fishmongers and fresh produce handling rooms.
  • Butcher's shops and delicatessens.
  • Food workshops and central kitchens.
  • Dishwashing and permanently wet areas.

📋 Technical data

  • Weight: 500 g/m²
  • Style: with bib

  • Sizing: one size (U), unisex

🧺 Care

  • Clean daily with water and a cloth on the coated face.
  • Do not iron or tumble dry: heat deforms the PVC layer.
  • Not suitable for high-temperature industrial laundry.
  • Hang flat to dry; never store it folded with weight on top.

💡 Tip: the real difference from reference 7 lies in the inner face. If your operators spend eight hours straight wearing the apron, the terry of the 9 prevents that feeling of plastic stuck to the body and makes up for the extra 30 g/m² of weight. If the apron is put on and taken off several times a day, the 7 is lighter and does the job.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does it differ from apron 7?

The 7 is plain PVC on both sides; the 9 has cotton terry on the inner face, which absorbs sweat.

Is it waterproof?

Yes, on the outer face, which is the coated one.

Can it be ironed?

No. Heat deforms the PVC layer irreversibly.

Can it go to an industrial laundry?

Not recommended at high temperature.

What is its weight?

500 g/m2, the highest in the Velilla apron range.

What size should I order?

One size (U); the bias tape ties knot to fit any waist size.

Is it suitable for kitchens with hobs?

It is not the right garment: PVC is not flame retardant.
