Velilla 100 chunky knit jumper: the work jumper with elbow patches
Rib knit in 100% acrylic, gauge 7 — coarse gauge, open and bulky knit — with anti-pilling treatment. What sets it apart from any other jumper are the fabric reinforcements on the shoulders and elbows: the two areas where a work jumper wears through. And it has a chest pocket with Velcro.

💡 Tip: The shoulder and elbow reinforcements are what justify the price of this jumper compared with a high-street one. A work jumper without reinforcements wears through at the elbow in one season, especially if you lean on counters or wear it under a jacket that rubs. If you are still going to wear it under another garment all day, gauge 7 is quite bulky: in that case the 103C fine-knit cardigan, gauge 12, is a better fit.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does gauge 7 mean?
It is the fineness of the knit. Gauge 7 is a chunky, bulky knit, compared with gauge 12 of the 103C fine-knit cardigan.
Why does it have reinforcements?
Because the shoulders and elbows are where a work jumper wears through. This is what extends its service life the most.
Is there a high-neck version?
Yes, reference 101, with a high neck and half zip.
How should it be dried?
Flat. Hung on a hanger, damp acrylic stretches and deforms the garment.
Can it be ironed?
At a very low temperature and without pressing down. Acrylic gets flattened by heat.
Can it go in the tumble dryer?
No.
What colours is it available in?
Black, navy blue, hunter green and grey, in sizes S to 3XL.
