GRS PureStretch healthcare jogger scrub trousers
GRS PureStretch healthcare jogger scrub trousers
Velilla 533021S (AVANI) GRS PureStretch healthcare jogger scrub trousers: elastic cuff and ten pockets
The jogger version of Velilla's sustainable scrub trousers. GRS certified, with polyester from fifteen recycled plastic bottles per garment, PureStretch fabric with 360º stretch, SilverPlus antibacterial treatment and repellent finish. What sets them apart from the straight-leg 533020S is the elastic cuff at the hem: the trousers don't drag on the floor or get trodden on. Sold separately: the top is not included.
✅ Features
- Elastic cuff at the hem: the hem is gathered at the ankle. It doesn't drag along a ward floor, doesn't get trodden on when climbing stairs and doesn't rub against theatre footwear. In an environment where the trouser hem is a vector for dirt, this matters.
- Ten pockets: two slanted side pockets (one with a watch pocket), two rear patch pockets, two side patch pockets with double compartment and one inner coin pocket. These are the healthcare trousers with the most storage in the catalogue.
- GRS certified: the Global Recycled Standard certifies the recycled content of the textile and audits the entire supply chain through an independent body. It is documentation you can submit in a public tender, not a marketing claim.
- PureStretch with 360º stretch: 6% elastane and fabric that gives in every direction.
- SilverPlus antibacterial and liquid repellent: less odour between washes and splashes that run off.
- Contrast drawstrings: let you tighten the waist by hand and add a touch of colour.

🧺 Care
- Wash at 60 °C, the temperature confirmed by the manufacturer for this range.
- Do not use fabric softener: it cancels out the repellent finish.
- Tumble dry at medium or low temperature to preserve the 6% elastane and the cuff.
- Do not use chlorine bleach.
- Suitable for industrial laundry at 60 °C.
💡 Tip: The elastic cuff is the first thing to stretch out on a jogger, and what ruins it is high-temperature drying, not wear. If you wash in-house, turn the dryer down to medium and the cuff will last the life of the trousers; if they go to an external laundry with a hot tunnel dryer, the straight-leg 533020S will age better and is the more sensible choice in that case.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the elastic cuff offer compared with straight-leg trousers?
The hem stays gathered at the ankle. It doesn't drag on the floor, doesn't get trodden on on stairs and doesn't rub against footwear. In healthcare, the trouser hem is one of the places that picks up the most dirt, so the cuff isn't just about looks.
What is GRS certification?
The Global Recycled Standard certifies the recycled content of a textile and audits the entire supply chain through an independent body. It is documentation you can submit in a public tender with environmental criteria.
How many pockets do they have?
Ten: two slanted side pockets with watch pocket, two rear patch pockets, two side patch pockets with double compartment and one inner coin pocket.
Is the top included?
No. They are sold separately.
Do they withstand industrial washing at 90 degrees?
It's not advisable. The manufacturer confirms 60 °C. With 6% elastane and an elastic cuff, 90 °C and hot drying greatly shorten their service life.
Can they be sterilised in an autoclave?
No. Elastane cannot withstand steam at 121-134 °C.
What wears out first on a jogger?
The cuff, and more because of high-temperature drying than wear. If the external laundry uses a hot tunnel dryer, the straight-leg 533020S will age better.
