Losa Senda 40x20x6 cm - Concrete slab for walkways and light traffic
Senda Slab 40x20x6 cm: the rectangular slab for paths, sidewalks and patios
Adybor's Senda Slab is a concrete slab measuring 40x20x6 cm, with a 2:1 ratio that allows it to be laid in stretcher bond, herringbone, or running bond without the need for special pieces. With 13 pieces per square meter and a pallet covering 12 m², it is one of the fastest-laying solutions in the range. Its 6 cm thickness makes it suitable for pedestrian use and light vehicular traffic.
Note, it is not the Uni Paver. They share the starting price, but they are different products: the Senda Slab measures 40x20 cm and provides a broad, smooth surface; the Uni Paver measures 22.5x11.25 cm and gives a classic paving-stone layout. If you're looking for a slab, this is the piece.
✅ Advantages
2:1 format: 40x20 cm fits in stretcher bond, herringbone and running bond without cuts, and the finishing pieces come out clean with half a piece.
Fast installation: 13 pieces per square meter, half the handling of a small paver for the same surface.
6 cm thickness: enough for pedestrian use and light vehicular traffic, according to the manufacturer's data sheet.
Gray and color in the price list: gray for construction and public roads, and the color range (cream, red and green) for gardens and residential areas.
Proven strength: Xi > 2.9 / X8 > 3.6 MPa, breaking load X8 > 250 N/mm, wear class 4 I (Xi < 20 mm), and absorption class 2B (X8 < 6%).
Inspectable paving: laid on sand, it can be lifted and replaced piece by piece without breaking up the surface.
🏗️ Applications
Walkways, paths and garden trails.
Sidewalks, pedestrian parking areas and sitting areas.
Patios, porches, terraces and pool surroundings.
Residential accessways and curb cuts with light vehicle passage.
Walkable roofs and common areas.
📋 Technical data sheet
Size: 40x20x6 cm
Thickness: 6 cm
Pieces per m²: 12.5 (sold by the full square meter)
Water absorption: class 2B (total absorption X8 < 6%)
Use: outdoor · pedestrian, light vehicle traffic and roofs
🧰 Installation
Excavate and compact the subgrade, and spread a well-compacted 15-20 cm base of crushed aggregate (20-25 cm if vehicles will pass).
Lay a 3-5 cm bedding layer of sand, leveled with screeds and without compacting.
Plan the layout before starting: in stretcher bond the piece advances 20 cm at a time, and in herringbone it is advisable to start from a master line so the finishing pieces are symmetrical.
Lay tight with 3-5 mm joints, giving a 1-2% slope so water drains, and working from several pallets at once.
Sweep dry silica sand until all joints are filled and remove the excess.
Compact with a vibrating plate with a rubber mat and sweep sand again. Repeat until the joint stops settling.
📦 Formats and colors
Single size in the price list: 40x20x6 cm.
Colors: Gray, and color range in cream, red and green.
Packaging: per square meter or per full pallet of 12 m² (150 pieces).
Do not confuse: the 22.5x11.25 cm Uni Paver is another product from the same manufacturer, although it starts from the same price.
💡 Professional tip: order between 5 and 7% more surface area than you have measured. In a 2:1 format, the finishing pieces are usually solved with half a piece, so waste is lower than with large slabs, but diagonal cuts and connections with manholes still take their toll. And one thickness warning: 6 cm is enough for walking on and for a car to enter the house, but not for truck traffic or heavy machinery; for that you need to go up to 8 cm or more. Mix pieces from two or three pallets while laying them, because the color of the concrete varies slightly from batch to batch.
