Velilla 333 healthcare scrub trousers: the bottom half of the uniform
The trousers worn by nurses, healthcare assistants, porters, veterinary clinics, pharmacies and beauty centres. Please note: this is a separate garment; the price is for the trousers only and does not include the tunic. Polyester-cotton twill of 190 g/m² with a fully elasticated waist and 15 colours for colour-coding departments, floors or shifts.

🧺 Care
Machine wash at 60 °C, the usual hygienic washing temperature in healthcare.
The 65% polyester provides dimensional stability: it shrinks little and dries quickly.
Tumble dry at medium temperature; iron gently if needed.
Do not use chlorine bleach on colours; on white, only occasionally and diluted.
Suitable for industrial laundering on standard cycles. For sterilisation processes at 90 °C or autoclave, please contact us before ordering the batch.
💡 Tip: The elasticated waist has no drawstring, so the fit depends on the size rather than on tying: if you are unsure between two sizes, take the smaller one. A waist that is too loose slips down when you lean over a patient's bed, and on trousers without a drawstring there is no way to fix it. If you need adjustment with ties, references 533006S and 533007 do have them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this price include the scrub tunic?
No. Reference 333 is the trousers only. The top is bought separately; if you are looking for the complete set in a single purchase, reference 800 does include tunic and trousers.
Why does the white version have reference 334 and not 333?
Because Velilla assigns a separate reference to the white version of these trousers. It is exactly the same garment, the same fabric and the same sizing: only the item code changes. If your tender specifications or your ERP require the exact reference, for white it is 334.
Does it withstand industrial washing at 90 degrees?
The manufacturer specifies washing at 60 °C. At that temperature it withstands industrial laundry cycles without any problem. 90 °C shortens the life of the colour and the waist elastic, so we do not recommend it as a regular cycle.
Can it be sterilised in an autoclave?
No. It is a polyester-cotton blend with no specific treatment for autoclaving: steam at 121-134 °C degrades the synthetic fibre and the elastic. For operating theatres you need sterile disposable garments or textiles approved for that process.
Does it shrink when washed?
Very little. The 65% polyester stabilises the fabric; shrinkage from the 35% cotton stays within the normal tolerance of the first wash.
Does the waist have a drawstring for adjustment?
No. The waist is fully elasticated, with no drawstring. If you need adjustment with ties, see references 533006S (stretch) or 533007 (microfibre).
What size should I order if I am unsure between two?
The smaller one. As there is no drawstring, a loose waist slips down when you bend over and there is no way to fix it.
