The healthcare scrub trousers from Velilla's sustainable range. They are GRS certified and their polyester comes from fifteen recycled plastic bottles per garment. The jogger version, with elastic cuffs, is reference 533021S.

✅ Features

  • GRS certified: the Global Recycled Standard is the international standard that certifies the recycled content of a textile and verifies the entire supply chain, including social and environmental criteria. It isn't a label the brand awards itself: it is audited by an independent body. In a public tender with environmental criteria, it is a document you can submit, not a brochure claim.
  • Polyester from fifteen recycled bottles per garment: the specific figure usually requested in green procurement specifications.
  • PureStretch with 360º stretch: the fabric gives in every direction, not just widthways. With 6% elastane, it is the stretchiest range in Velilla's healthcare catalogue.
  • Eight pockets: two slanted side pockets (one with a watch pocket), two rear patch pockets, two side patch pockets, one with a double compartment, and one inner coin pocket.
  • SilverPlus antibacterial treatment and liquid repellent: curbs odour between washes and makes water-based splashes run off.
  • Unisex straight cut: the classic cut, for those who don't want the fitted hem of the jogger.
  • Only 180 g/m² with a peach-skin feel: light and soft to the touch despite having so many pockets.

💡 Tip: If you're going to bid for a public tender, ask us for the batch's GRS certificate before drafting your bid, not afterwards. Many specifications require the certificate to be valid on the submission date and issued in the manufacturer's name, and a generic "recycled material" statement scores nothing. With the certificate in hand, recycled content stops being an adjective and becomes points in front of the award committee.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is GRS certification?

The Global Recycled Standard is an international standard that certifies the recycled material content of a textile and audits the entire supply chain, including social and environmental criteria, through an independent body. The brand does not award it to itself. In a public tender with environmental criteria it is submittable documentation and scores points; a generic recycled-material statement does not.

How much recycled material does it contain?

The polyester comes from fifteen recycled plastic bottles per garment, according to the manufacturer.

Is the top included?

No. The 533020S is the trousers only.

What's the difference from the 533021S jogger?

Same fabric and same certification, but the 533021S has an elastic cuff at the hem and ten pockets. This 533020S is straight-cut and has eight.

What does PureStretch 360º mean?

That the fabric gives in every direction, not just widthways. With 6% elastane it is the stretchiest range in Velilla's healthcare catalogue.

Do they withstand industrial washing at 90 degrees?

It's not advisable. The manufacturer confirms 60 °C. With 6% elastane, 90 °C greatly shortens the garment's life and degrades the antibacterial finish.

Can they be sterilised in an autoclave?

No. Elastane cannot withstand steam at 121-134 °C.

Why shouldn't I use fabric softener?

Because it saturates the fabric and cancels out the liquid-repellent finish.
