Jara L-Shaped Pool Coping - High-Compaction Concrete
Jara L-Shaped Pool Coping - High-Compaction Concrete
Jara L-Shaped Pool Coping: the profile that holds the liner and hides the build
Fitting a liner or a lining in a built pool shell always leaves an irregular top edge that needs hiding. The Jara coping has an L-shaped section that houses the liner's anchor track and hides the edge's imperfections, in a high-compaction concrete that reaches USRV 80, the highest slip rating in the whole family.
✅ Key advantages
- L-profile: makes fitting the liner and other linings easier, and hides the pool shell's top edge.
- USRV 80, class 3: the best grip in the range, tested on the piece itself, not extrapolated from paving.
- High-compaction concrete: less porosity, less water absorption and better behaviour against ice.
- Bevelled edges: the bevel matches the paving in the same range and avoids a sharp edge that chips.
- Four colours: white, anthracite, sand and bronze, from lightest to darkest.
- Two sizes: 50 × 35.5 cm for a standard perimeter and 46 × 50 cm when a wider edge is wanted.
🏗️ Recommended applications
- Capping built-in pools finished with a liner.
- Pool edges with mosaic tile or a reinforced membrane, where the top anchor track is exposed.
- Coping for renovated shells with an irregular top edge.
- Contemporary-design pools, matching the bevelled paving in the same range.
- Capping ornamental ponds and water features that are walked on.

🧰 Installation
- Have the liner and its anchor track fitted and tensioned before laying the coping; the housing isn't accessible afterwards.
- Level the pool shell's top edge: with an L-profile, any high spot stops the piece sitting flat.
- Bed with a C2 cement-based adhesive rated for outdoor and immersion use, double-buttered, also bonding the vertical face of the L.
- Keep a 1.5-2% fall towards the outside along the whole perimeter.
- Leave a 3-5 mm joint between pieces and an elastic expansion joint every 4-5 m and at every corner.
- Point with an outdoor-rated mortar and seal the joint against the pool shell with polyurethane sealant.
📦 Available formats
- 50 × 35.5 × 31.5 × 4.5 × 6 cm — single unit or pallet of 60 units.
- 46 × 50 × 4.5 × 6 cm — single unit or pallet of 70 units.
- Both sizes in white, anthracite, sand and bronze.
💡 Professional tip: the order of work is what decides whether this piece works. The liner and its anchor track always go in first: fit the coping before that and the L's housing becomes inaccessible, meaning already-bonded pieces have to be lifted. Bond the vertical face of the L too, not just the horizontal one; left hollow, water gets between the coping and the shell, freezes in winter and pops the piece off. And don't mistake USRV 80 for a free pass: it's an excellent rating, but this is still a pool coping, not a paving slab, so it needs an immersion-rated adhesive, an outward fall and an expansion joint against the surround slab. Order 8-10% extra material: in a high-compaction concrete, disc-cutting is slower and the cut isn't as clean as it looks.
Frequently Asked Questions
