Rectangular Concrete Paving Block Adybor

Senda Paver: the classic rectangular paving stone for paving

The Senda Paver by Adybor is the plain rectangular paving stone of a lifetime, in 20x10 cm pieces with a thickness of 6 or 8 cm, and with the complementary piece Half Senda 10x10x8 cm to finish edges and borders without having to cut. Manufactured in concrete according to the UNE-EN 1338 standard.

✅ Advantages

  • Universal format: the 20x10 rectangle is laid in rows, staggered, herringbone, or basket weave without the need for special pieces.
  • Two thicknesses: 6 cm for pedestrian use and light traffic; 8 cm when vehicles pass.
  • Finishing piece: the Half Senda 10x10x8 resolves edges, junctions, and direction changes without cutting pavers.
  • Certified resistance: UNE-EN 1338, Xi>2.9 / X8>3.6 MPa resistance and satisfactory breaking load X8>250 N/mm.
  • Wear and absorption: class 4 I (Xi<20 mm) and absorption class 2B (X8<6%).
  • Four factory colors: gray, cream, red, and black.

🏗️ Applications

  • Walkways, sidewalks, and garden paths.
  • Squares, courtyards, and pedestrian areas.
  • Home access, garage entrances, and curb cuts.
  • Parking lots and roads with vehicular traffic, always with the 8 cm thickness.
  • Walkable roofs.

🪠 Installation

  1. Excavate the area and compact the natural ground well until it is firm and has the drainage slope.
  2. Spread and compact a 15-20 cm base layer of crushed aggregate in pedestrian areas, and 25-30 cm if vehicular traffic will pass.
  3. Lay a 3-5 cm bedding sand layer, leveled with a screed and without compacting.
  4. Place the pavers dry, starting from a straight edge, mixing pieces from several pallets at once.
  5. Finish the entire perimeter with curb stones or a concrete edging: without confinement the pavement will spread.
  6. Sweep silica sand over the joints, run the vibrating plate with a rubber mat, and repeat the sand sweeping after a few days.

💡 Professional tip: always order 5-7% extra material for cuts, edge pieces, and breakages: replacing a loose pallet months later almost never matches the tone. During installation, mix pieces from three or four pallets at a time, because each batch has its own shade and if you lay pallet by pallet the floor will end up blotchy. And don’t overlook the thickness: 6 cm is for pedestrians and light cars; as soon as loaded vans or trucks come in, you have to go for 8 cm on a well-compacted crushed-stone base. It is the most expensive buying mistake in this family.
