Monteagudo Cladding - Reconstituted Travertine Stone

Monteagudo Cladding: classic travertine in lightweight panels

Natural travertine is expensive, heavy and vulnerable to frost. Monteagudo Cladding reproduces its characteristic veining in reconstituted stone measuring 40 × 60 × 2 cm and weighing just 34 kg/m², the lightest in our range, water-repellent throughout and ready for facades or interiors.

✅ Key benefits

  • Real travertine veining: the moulds copy the pores and horizontal grain of the original stone.
  • The lightest in the range: 34 kg/m², ideal for renovating facades without overloading the wall.
  • Two finishes: Crudo (light natural tone) and Envejecido (warm, aged patina tone).
  • Large 40 × 60 format: only 4.16 pieces per m², fast installation and fewer joints.
  • Water-repellent, for indoor and outdoor use: withstands rain and frost without losing its colour.
  • Three ways to buy: 0.5 m² pack, loose m², or full 20 m² pallet.

🏗️ Recommended applications

  • Facades and porches in a classic or Mediterranean style
  • Living rooms, entrance halls and bathrooms (dry areas)
  • Fireplace surrounds and columns
  • Shops, hotels and pharmacies seeking an elegant image

📋 Technical specifications

  • Material: reconstituted stone (concrete, water-repellent throughout)
  • Size: 40 × 60 × 2 cm · 4.16 pieces/m² (1 cm joint)
  • Weight: 34 kg/m²
  • Colours: Crudo and Envejecido
  • Pack: 0.5 m² (2 pieces) · Full pallet: 20 m²
  • Use: indoor and outdoor

🧰 Installation

  1. Clean, firm and level substrate; dampen it if it is very absorbent.
  2. Flexible C2T tile adhesive, double-buttered with an 8/10 mm notched trowel.
  3. Work from the bottom up with a 1 cm joint, mixing panels from several boxes.
  4. Grout with mortar once set and clean with a damp sponge.

💡 Professional tip: always lay the veining horizontally and in a staggered pattern (offsetting by half a piece on each course): this is how quarry travertine is cut, and it is what makes the finished surface look like natural stone.

Frequently Asked Questions
