Check that the paving is bedded down, with the joint open and clean along its full depth.
Remove dust and loose aggregate from the surface before starting.
Spread the product over the paving and sweep it in diagonally to the joints until they're completely full.
Compact the joint and go over any low spots with a second pass.
Remove all excess from the surface: don't leave product sitting on the pieces.

💡 Professional tip: before ordering material, measure the joint properly. Usage rises sharply with depth: the same area with a 5 mm joint versus a 15 mm one can need double the bags, and the 40 kg/m² reference figure is only an order of magnitude. Allow 10% extra, and check beforehand that the paving actually drains: a permeable joint over a watertight slab has nowhere to send the water, it stays trapped, and in winter the ice will lift the pieces. If the paving is bonded to a solid slab, what you need is a rigid cementitious joint, not this one.
